Rehearsals are typically Sunday through
Friday. Saturdays are reserved for technical
production;
however,
inclement weather, school cancellations, etc. may
change in rehearsal schedules, including
adding
rehearsal on Saturday. Bookmark this page
- and look for changes often. Every
effort will
be made
to highlight changes.
Weather
and epidemics tends to be those things that cause
the most change.
In
the spring season, there is a lot going on and
that, too, impacts our schedule.
REHEARSALS
ARE NOT OPTIONAL.
YOU

Yoh
Juniors’
Summer
Theatre Workshop 08
July 7-11 and 14-18
The
Yoh Juniors’ summer program will run the weeks
of July 7-11 and
14-18 in the Robert C. Yoh Theatre on the
WUHS campus.
Available
for area students entering grades 3 through 8, it
is a production based process that concludes with
a performance.
Daily
sessions are 8 AM until noon every day 7-11 and
14-16. On the 17th, the session is from 8-3.
On the 18th,
Juniors will meet at 8 AM and give a
mid-day performance for a young audience followed
by a performance for family and friends at 6 PM.
Harriet Worrell
is workshop
director. Proven
high school theatre students serve as assistants
to coach actors, work on costumes and props, and
train Juniors interested in lights and sound.
Because
any child who wants to act in our production may
do so, we do not select our performance piece
until we know who will be participating.
Children
should bring a snack every day of workshop; on the
17th and 18th they will need a snack
and a sack lunch. On the evening of the
18th, parents usually put together a warm supper
for the kids.
Children
are expected to provide their own leg and foot
wear for the production. For costumes, set
and props, we pull from our own collection as best
we can. Sometimes
we must construct, and sometimes we go
a-borrowing. We always appreciate
parents, siblings and grandparents who let us know
they can sew.
Sign
up your child by contacting
Harriet Worrell
at hworrell@wuhsms.org.
Please
include child’s
name, age,
school,
and t-shirt size.
Also include the parent’s
name, phone
number and email
address. We hope to provide confirmations and
additional information by email, but if no email
is available, please send the parent’s mailing
address
For
this 2008 summer, the Summer Theatre Workshop is
still the grateful recipient of grant money
that allows us to continue to offer this two-week
experience without charge. FYI:
After this summer that source may
finally have used up its funds
so following summers there will likely be a
charge for Summer Theatre Workshop.
For
the 2008 Summer Theatre Workshop, we do require a
$10 non-refundable sign up fee that is due no
later than May 30.
Please
make checks out to Yoh

and
mail or deliver to
